Sarah – A picture full of love
This picture is called Sarah. Just like my daughter’s name.
For me, this name means more than just sound – it stands for strength, gentleness, dignity and a big heart.
For who she is. And for what she means to me.
Sarah is part of my Blind Edition – a series of works that I created without seeing.
With my eyes closed, guided only by feeling, memory and music.
I created this painting while listening to a song by Céline Dion. It touched me deeply.
So deeply that my hands began to paint without me knowing where it would lead. But my heart knew.
Everything that I sometimes can’t say has flowed into this painting.
My love. My pain. My gratitude.
My regret too – for things I can’t undo. For what was.
But Sarah – my daughter – has never reproached me. Never.
Instead, she gives me closeness, trust and her silent forgiveness.
She lives directly below me with her little family.
I sometimes hear the laughter of Emilia, my granddaughter, and feel how life goes on.
How love heals. How closeness works wonders.
Sarah is not just a picture. It is a prayer. A thank you. An embrace in color, form and feeling.
