“For my brother”

This painting was created as part of my Blind Edition, a special series,
in which I paint without visual control – guided solely by feeling, music and intuition.
It is a deeply emotional work that I dedicated to my brother.

I asked him for a song that means a lot to him. A song that I didn’t know myself.
Without knowing where this melody would lead me, I began to paint – blindly, using only charcoal and my intuition.
Even after the first few notes, the song touched me in a way I hadn’t expected.
I continued to paint, letting the emotions flow, and as I added gold and silver to the picture, tears came.
Lots of tears. It was a moment full of honesty, full of love.

My brother means an incredible amount to me. We have a deep connection – one that goes beyond words.
He was and is always by my side. As his younger sister, I have always felt his support.
He supports me and my art in a way that cannot be taken for granted – with openness, with strength, with heart.
This picture is about this connection. Of trust. Of gratitude.
Of a shared path that has brought us even closer together in recent years.

This work is not for sale. It is part of my soul. Part of our shared history.

But beyond the pure origin, Marco often also carries a very personal meaning – as in this case:
strength, protection, presence, love.
Someone who is always there. Someone you can rely on. A rock, a companion.

So the title “Marco” for this painting fits perfectly – powerful, emotional, protective -
exactly what I felt while painting and what connects me to him.
A wonderful, profound gift.
