These three works are among my very first paintings – created on a very quiet, intense night in 1999 in Freudenstadt.
Without intention, without a plan – just paper, paint and a moment of complete openness.

There were about ten pictures in total that were created back then.
But I have kept these three for all these years. They are like signposts for me: raw, honest, direct.

They are not only the beginning of my artistic expression, but also a quiet glimpse of something deeper – of what moves me,
and perhaps also of what motivated me to start painting in the first place.
